Travel is extremely personal and subjective. A relationship built on trust, honesty, and eventually history ensures travel plans are detailed to individual preference and style. 

Therefore, I want to take some time to get to know you and I ask in return that clients always keep an open and honest line of communication with myself!

When planning international travel, many clients ask about timeline. While only a few reach out too early, many more reach out too late!

For the best combination of pricing and availability, I recommend: 

• Book flights - 10 to 11 months out
• Book lodging - 7 to 11 months out
• Book tours & transfers - 4 to 8 months out
• Apply for passports - 6 months out (if needed)
• Reserve dining, spa & special events - 1 month out (but varies)

Note that US passport holders will soon need ETIAS to travel to Europe which could affect the timeline above.  The European Travel Information and Authorization System will be operational from 2025.  

ETIAS is the new travel permit for Americans and other visa-exempt non-EU citizens visiting European destinations such as France, Italy, and Spain.  ETIAS is not a visa, it is an electronic travel authorization, also known as a visa waiver.  U.S. nationals can continue to go to Europe visa-free for short stays by applying for ETIAS. 

Over 95% of ETIAS applications will be approved almost immediately. The ETIAS travel authorization will be valid for 3 consecutive years and multiple short stays in Europe.
